This 6-session course is for dogs and owners of all ages. Teach your dog basic cues such as sit, down, leave it and walking on a leash. Vaccinations required: distemper, rabies (for dogs over 4 months old), bordatella.
Train your dog to become a good citizen. This course is for dogs 12 months old and older who know basic obedience commands. You will work on the ten test items required for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. The test will be given on the last night of class. Vaccinations required: rabies, distemper, bordatella.
Brush up on the history of our great State of Maine and engage your whole family in this one day challenge. Teams of six, a team consists of two adults and four youths between 5-18. Challengers under five are encouraged to cheer on their team! Teams are encouraged to select a name and logo. Questions will be presented in a trivia game style.

Out-of-hospital births account for just over one percent of babies born in the United States. In this talk, Amy Woodrow will discuss her experience birthing three children at home. Topics will include the decision to plan a home birth, compatibility with pre- and perinatal care, relative costs, and information on local resources.

This class is for people writing nonfiction works such as memoirs, biographies, articles, essays, blogs - anything that is considered nonfiction. Writer and editor Nancy McCallum will offer tips to help you make your work sparkle. She will discuss the importance of developing your writing “voice,” the use of sensory details to make your words come alive and the importance of creating a flow. Bring your work to class, and Nancy will provide feedback and encouragement.
